Puppyfish
The story, set in the garden, tells of an awkward young puppy fears it isn't growing up fast enough or well enough so seeks to become something and someone else. It settles upon becoming a Puppyfish, and seeks advice from all of its friends, who are of little help, but Puppy gets into some interesting adventures along the way to discovering who it really is.

The book and it's companion book, "Puppy Goes to Lambergarten" have been designed with the broadest possible audiences in mind from Grandparents looking for a read-aloud bedtime story for toddles, to the main target audience of young teens who are falling behind their peers in reading skills. The primary grades style of illustration is also intended to be non-threaten to poor readers, even though it is formatted with lots of text and only a sprinkling of colorful illustrations as a transition to "chapter books" more appropriate to young teens ideal reading skills. Mastering a few of these in the "Read-to-Me" series may give young readers the confidence they need to try more more challenging material that previously intimidated them.
