About the Author

Gucwa brings 40+ years' of management consulting experience to her current passion: writing BioFables, a series of entertaining "stealth learning" books for children and their parents, especially homeschoolers. She uses everyday events as a means of developing useful skills and knowledge in Sciences, Humanities and Values/Behaviors.

Gucwa's consulting has spanned numerous industries, from automotive to pharmaceuticals to waste management, for domestic and international clients. She earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Illinois Institute of Technology; following graduation she worked as a research food chemist and advanced to Biochemistry Section Leader. She earned an MBA from Northwestern's Kellogg Graduate School of Management, after which she renewed her pursuit of growing her consulting practice.

Gucwa has travelled widely for both consulting and leisure (skiing, hiking, visiting family and friends). She has been married for 52 (and counting!) years to Atsushi Fujii and lives in a northwest suburb of Chicago.
