My name is Orlando Mergal. I'm a landscape photographer, a professional writer and an all-around communications expert. And I've been doing this for a very long time.

In spite of this confusion there's one thing that's crystal clear. We're surrounded by water! And that means beaches... lots of great beaches.
Many of Puerto Rico's beaches consistently rank among the best in the world in publications like Condé Nast Traveler, TripAdvisor and The Travel Channel. But most importantly many of these beaches are only a few miles away from the Island's popular tourist spots. And guess what? They're all free!
That's right! In Puerto Rico every single beach belongs to the people. It's even in the Island's constitution. So in many cases the only thing you'll be paying for is parking.

Hi, my name is Orlando Mergal. I am a Content Creator, Blogger, Podcaster, Author, and New Media Expert. During the last 25+ years I have worked with the pharmaceutical, banking, insurance and service industries in Puerto Rico.
I am totally bilingual and fluent in English and Spanish.
During my career I have worked with many of Puerto Rico’s top executives delivering tailor-made communications tools for human resources, marketing and public relations. My business “Accurate Communications” is a one-stop-shop for writing, translations, business publications, audiovisual and web related services.
I have authored six self-help DVDs, 6 e-books and produced countless programs for my private clients.
During the last five years I have published the popular blog “Picadillo” () where I have authored close to 300 articles about technology, business and societal issues. I also produce a weekly podcast in Spanish titled “Hablando de Tecnología” () where I have produced 200+ programs.
I was also the guest technology expert for 76 consecutive weeks for the popular radio program “Hay Que Tener Vergüenza” aired by Radio Isla 1320, and hosted by Jorge Seijo Figueroa.
When I'm not working on my web projects, I throw a camera around my neck and make beautiful landscape photographs that I exhibit and sell on my site Puerto Rico Photography ().
My latest project is “Puerto Rico By GPS”, a tourism blog in English where I have hundreds of photos, information, audio, video and GPS maps for over 125 of the most beautiful places in sunny Puerto Rico. It's the perfect tool for anyone wanting to explore the Island.
