About the Author

Douglas Northrup hails from Clute, TX, a small town just south of Houston. He served as a pizza boy from age sixteen to twenty-two. He joined the Army in 1989, serving as a Cavalry Scout for four years. He served in Desert Storm as a Cavalry Scout, driving an armed troop carrier. He and his wife met in Germany the night he returned from Desert Storm. They married in 1992 and between the two they have three children (one his, one hers, and one theirs). He changed his job in 1993 to Information Technology for his last six years in the Army. His career has been in Network Infrastructure since 1996. Doug has enjoyed almost every job he’s ever had. He graduated with an MBA in 2009, finding that he likes to write, something that his teachers and professors in high school and college encouraged with high grades and positive comments as well as family and friends telling him how good his story-telling gene is.
