Overview

Author Tony C. Aguilar challenges the American mythology that prosperity is simply about hard work and playing by the rules. He argues that political intransigence plus xenophobia serves the status quo and is detrimental to the long term prosperity of the majority of Americans. With a critique of American exceptionalism and rugged indiviudalism, Aguilar challenges readers to analyze what acutally makes America great.
