About the Author

Gerrit M. Pronske
Mr. Pronske is a shareholder in the law firm of Pronske & Patel, P.C., where he specializes in the practice of bankruptcy law. He has 24 years' experience in the areas of troubled loan restructurings, bankruptcy reorganizations, and insolvency-related litigation. His practice includes representation of financially distressed companies and individual debtors, trustees, lenders, asset purchasers, landlords, creditors, and creditors' committees. He is a past president of the Dallas Bankruptcy Bar Association, holds the Texas Monthly designation of Super Lawyer, is to chair the bankruptcy section of the Federal Bar Association beginning in October, 2008 and is a frequent lecturer at bankruptcy seminars, usually on the topic of recent developments. Mr. Pronske is the former Law Clerk to the Honorable Robert C. McGuire, former Chief United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Northern District of Texas, Dallas Division.
