Project ANEW
'That woman is a construct of custom-coded DNA, printed to our designs, and programmed with our memories. Nothing more than a biologically based computer.... My thoughts are no more than programming, too. The only difference is that I am a random amalgamation of genetics, whereas you were created to be exactly the way you are.'

Then she smiles to herself, turns, and touches the woman gently on her beautiful, still-warm cheek.

It is as soft as a peach. Rebecca leans closer and whispers, as if conspiratorially. 'For all I know, my memories are fake, too, Liora. There are laws in place to stop that, but who's to say my memories of those are real, either?'

Aiden was looking forward to his holiday on Mars. His wife and children had gone ahead of him, into the scanner. But when he wakes, he finds himself the prisoner of a clandestine organization, and they have a task for him.

He is not himself. He is a duplicate. A clone. And somewhere, out there, he and his family are having a holiday on Mars-and they are all being used as leverage against him.

Or so he believes.

About the Author

Science fiction author focusing on realistic, character driven stories in settings that explore technology and societal structures as humanity reaches out into space.

I enjoy making the characters react in vulnerable ways. After all, what would we do if thrown into horrible situations, and they persistently got worse?
