Author Douglas Rushkoff’s narration lacks the nuance of a more seasoned audiobook narrator, but his clear and direct voice works well with his straightforward writing style. He provides 10 valuable reasons it is necessary for people to learn programming or else be significantly limited in their future choices. At times, his passion and earnest desire are reflected in his voice, particularly at the end, when he explains why this book is essential for people in the 21st century. Sounding almost as if he is speaking extemporaneously, he moves beyond a standard narration. Though he stammers a bit and repeats a few words, it proves refreshing to hear his unscripted thoughts.
