About the Author

Once upon a time there was an imaginer, named Ellen Belitsky. Like dreams formed of words, stories grew in her mind. Characters marched in demanding that their stories be told. And so Prisoners of Purple began.
Previous publications include "Perchance to Feast, a Novel of Impossible Possibilities," as well as shorter publications: a children's story and an essay in MS. magazine, a children's story in Child Life, essays in The Sun, and many local publications.
