About the Author

Eduardo “Ed” D. Cuyos, BSBA-Accounting, MBA, CPA, CICA, DFMCP3. Mr. Cuyos is a retired veteran with 32 years of federal service in the United States Department of Defense. Formerly the Director, Internal Review and Audit Compliance, Headquarters, United States Army Garrison Camp Red Cloud and Area 1, Installation Management Command US-Pacific Region, South Korea, Chief Internal Review and Audit Compliance, Madigan Army Medical Center, Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) Tacoma, Washington. He was an adjunct faculty member at the University of Phoenix and Central Texas College Naval Base Yokosuka, Japan. He taught accounting, finance and managerial accounting both at the graduate and undergraduate levels. He received his BSBA in accounting from the Universidad de Zamboanga, Philippines, and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, USA. He holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Controls Auditor (CICA), and the Department of Defense Financial Manager Certified Professional Level 3 (DFMCP3) certificates. He was a distinguished full-time faculty member of accounting and a CPA reviewer of managerial accounting at the University of Baguio and the University of the Cordilleras Baguio City, Philippines. An active member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), American Board of Forensic Accounting (ABFA), American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC), and a lifetime member of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). He served 24-years of active duty in the United States Navy and is a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 124 Baguio City, Philippines. In his leisure time he loves to play golf and supports the American Lake Veterans Golf Course, the Wounded Warrior Projects, and the Purple Heart Foundation. Portion of the revenues from the sale of this book will support these veteran projects, foundations, and organizations.
