diamond-scaled dragon to a pack of slavering goblins. Should a prince battle his way to the top, he will be rewarded with a golden sword-and the lovely Princess Floralinda.

Editorial Reviews

FEBRUARY 2022 - AudioFile

Moira Quirk sounds delightfully playful as she narrates this novella. A twist on “Rapunzel,” the plot takes off when all the available princes fall to a dragon and the princess decides she must save herself. With the help of a fairy, Cobweb, she is determined to dismantle the tower, floor by floor, and confront the different kinds of monsters guarding them. Quirk builds the persona of the helpless princess who gradually transforms into a warrior. The relationship between Rapunzel and Cobweb is a bit complicated, and Quirk finds all its humor while still bringing out their dark, cruel sides. The result is a romp for YA listeners and adults that showcases Quirk’s talents as a narrator. J.E.M. Winner of AudioFile Earphones Award, 2022 Audies Finalist © AudioFile 2022, Portland, Maine
