Robin Stevenson is the author of more than twenty-five books for kids and teens, including
Pride Puppy!, Pride Colors and
Kid Activists: True Tales of Childhood from Champions of Change. The first edition of her nonfiction book
Pride: Celebrating Diversity & Community (2016) won a Stonewall Honor and was shortlisted for numerous other awards. In 2023, she was awarded the Lieutenant Governor's Award for Literary Excellence in British Columbia. Robin lives in Victoria.
Julie McLaughlin is an award-winning illustrator of numerous children's books, including Pride Puppy, Little Cloud, Breaking News and Why We Live Where We Live, winner of the 2015 Norma Fleck Award for Canadian Children’s Non-Fiction. Her work with various editorial, advertising and publishing clients can be seen around the world. Julie grew up on the Prairies and now resides on Vancouver Island.
