About the Author

B. Leah is a wife, mother, friend, victim advocate, a firebrand Spoken Word Artist, Co-Founder of Outta Da Box Ministry and a disciple of Christ. For as long as B.Leah can remember she followed crowds and other folk's dreams. At 37 years old she will return to the academy to follow her prayers and God's plan for her life. She is going back to college to earn her Master's & Doctorate degrees in order to provide non-traditional and creative therapeutic support for survivors of emotional trauma in urban spaces.
B. Leah as a Poet & Spoken Word Artist has used her voice to dare audiences to hope in the midst of emotional tsunamis. She was a member of The CT Poetry Slam Team (2001) and The Bulanians (2001-2003). Her work has been documented in her first chapbook "Evolutions of Revolutionary Tactics", 'The Thick Chronicles" a stage play about healthy body image, and several online blogs and magazines. A friend wrote "your life is your testimony, and these poems bear witness!!!" "Pretty Poems: Beauty Secrets for Women That Never Thought They Were Good Enough, Pretty Enough, or Woman Enough!" is her 3rd published project.
Degrees and honors are great expressions of what she does. But who she is alone standing in the mirror is most important. B.Leah is available to speak and share poetry at just about any event! For more information please visit www.saltlifeandlove.com or 860.888.8253
