The book review editor for the Journal of Hispainc/Latino Theology, he is author of numerous articles and five books, including Tejano Religion and Ethnicity: San Antonio, 1821-1860 and The Alamo Remembered: Tejano Accounts and Perspectives.

Gerald E. Poyo is Professor of Latin American and U.S. Latino History at St. Mary's University, San Antonio, Texas. He is author of Tejano Journey.
