About the Author

I create picture books while traveling with my husband. Welcome :) To see my art and adventures under one umbrella, please visit: www.EkaterinaChernova.com *------ Books For Kids ------* My new children book series (ages 3-5) is inspired by cats. Characters are based on my Scottish Fold cat Margo and her baby kittens. Cats. I love cats! Chubby and playful, yet so mysterious - how can one stand such cuteness? :) *------ Coloring Books ------* Buddhist temples and tropical climate of Vietnam brought images of mandalas and different flowers to my mind. This is how a series of coloring books came to life: The Cosmos Within and The Flower Spirits. Later on, when we came back to New Zealand, The Bird of Fantasia (bird designs), and Christmas Coloring Book were added to the set. I hope you enjoy the complete series and pick up some really positive vibes :) *------ Long Term Travel ------* Flowers, sunshine and new horizons are my inspiration. I need them. Even a mention of travel for me is thrilling! :) In 2014, my husband Ed (he is an artist too!) and I packed up two small backpacks and went to live in Vietnam for 5 months. We got married on a tropical island in Thailand. Later we have visited India, Malaysia, Indonesia (Bali), and Russia. There are many more places on our list. We prefer long term travel - living in one country for several month. This allows us to get past a cultural shock (if any), adjust to local food, and truly enjoy the place without hustle of changing accomodation and having to fly/bus/train often. Art is magic.
