Size
Tissue Box Cover: Loosely covers a boutique-style tissue box
Tissue Roll Cover: Covers a standard-size tissue roll
Light Switch Plate Cover: 3 inches W x 4¾ inches H (7.6cm x 12.1cm)
Materials
• 12 x 18-inch (30.5 x 45.7cm) sheet 7-count plastic canvas
• 1½ standard-size sheets 7-count plastic canvas
• 6-inch (15.2cm) plastic canvas radial circle
• Needloft® craft yarn as listed in color key
• #16 tapestry needle
• 3 self-adhesive hook-and-loop tape closures (1 is optional)
• Craft glue or glue gun
Cutting Instructions
Note: Use 12 x 18-inch (30.5 x 45.7cm) sheet for E and standard-size sheets for all remaining pieces.
A: For tissue box cover top, cut one according to graph from standard-size sheet.
B: For tissue box cover sides, cut four according to graph from standard-size sheets.
C: For optional tissue box cover bottom and flap, cut one 31-hole x 31-hole piece for bottom and one 12-hole x 31-hole piece for flap (no graphs) from standard-size sheet.
D: For tissue roll cover top, cut away outermost two rows of holes from radial circle (no graph).
E: For tissue roll cover side, cut one according to graph from 12 x 18-inch (30.5 x 45.7cm) sheet.
F: For tissue roll cover bow, cut one 4-hole x 50-hole piece (no graph) from standard-size sheet.
G: For light switch plate cover, cut one according to graph from standard-size sheet.
Stitching Instructions
1. Stitch A, B, D, E and G pieces following graphs, overlapping two rows of holes on E as indicated before stitching and working uncoded areas on B and E with white Continental Stitches.
2. Stitch F with gold Slanted Gobelin Stitches across narrow width of piece. Overcast edges.
3. When background stitching is completed, work embroidery on A, B, E and G pieces where indicated.
4. Using gold through step 7, Whipstitch B pieces together, then Whipstitch B pieces to A, forming tissue box cover. If not using optional bottom, Overcast inside edges of A and bottom edges of B.
5. If using optional bottom, follow tissue box cover assembly diagram and Whipstitch C pieces together, then Whipstitch tissue box cover bottom C to bottom edge of one B piece. Overcast remaining edges. If desired, attach one closure to flap and to adjacent side inside cover.
6. Whipstitch D and E pieces together, forming tissue roll cover. Overcast remaining edges. For bow, Overcast long edges of F, then Whipstitch ends together. With seam on bottom, tack middle of bow to center of D, working through all three thicknesses (see photo).
7. Overcast all edges of switch plate cover.
8. To attach light switch plate cover to plate, attach one side of each remaining two hook-and-loop closures to back of G and other sides to plate.
