Following a traditional format, the book progresses from a basic science review of anatomy and biomechanics through clinical exam and diagnostics, to contemporary treatment approaches.
Purpose: By sharing the knowledge and experience of leading clinicians and researchers in the field, the editor hopes to provide a stimulus for new ideas in the evolution of PCL injury management. Recognizing that these injuries may account for between 3 and 23 percent of knee ligament injuries and that an understanding of their treatment has lagged that of ACL injuries, this appears a worthy goal.
Audience: The book is geared primarily for active clinicians engaged in the care of knee ligament injuries. It provides sufficient depth of information from preeminent authorities in orthopedic surgery to be of use in both the office and operative setting.
