In this gripping, fantasy novel ten time-travelers living in a dystopian world on the verge of obliteration, volunteer for a mission of redemption. The citizens of Grippland are aging at an alarming rate, and the entire population is at risk. Gripp High Command chooses ten volunteers from their prison and forms the Grippland Eye of Time Exploration Team.
The team's objective is to travel through time and search for the answer to the extension of life and, ultimately, bring back a cure. The Gripps embark on what they believe is a scientific journey, but they land in another dimension, in the mystical land of Acronos. The two Guardians of Acronos meet the travelers and try to guide them. Suspicious and paranoid, the exploration team spurns the help the Guardians offer.
With unexplained energy waves, frightening magical creatures, and changes in time and space, the Gripps fight and struggle to survive. About the Author
John Teressi, a native Californian and second generation Italian, is fascinated by nature’s design, time and space, and the meaning and power of words. At the age of ten, he began writing stories and did a series of readings to the assembly of students in the auditorium. He continued to write and share stories with his friends and for over a year he worked on a science fiction novel, which was lost while traveling in Europe.
Teressi studied psychology, specializing in human factors engineering. His conceptual and writing abilities led to marketing, design, and fine art; and in his spare time, he entered the design contest for the new World Trade Center in New York. He created an amazing, futuristic complex to replace the WTC on the website, www.7thProposal.com.
Curious about the underlying nature of reality, Teressi explored higher consciousness through the study of psychology and metaphysics. In his twenties when walking through a forest on the Monterey Peninsula, CA, he experienced a transformational "moment suspended in time."
That spiritual awakening led him on a quest to experience many Power Places in Europe (Stonehenge and Avebury in England, Rennes Chateau in France, and the Paleolithic Cave Art of Northern Spain and caves of Drach in Majorca) and the pyramids of the Mexico City and the Yucatan among many others. These experiences influenced various passages in “Portals in Time: The Quest for Un-Old-Age.”
The wisdom derived from Teressi’s extensive travels, led by curiosity and guided by intuition, inspired this lyrical adventure, “Portals in Time: The Quest for Un-Old-Age” that was written to uplift your soul and empower your heart.
