Konstantinos Cavafis (April 29, 1863 - April 29, 1933) was a Greek poet who is considered one of the most important poets of the modern era. He was born and lived in Alexandria, Egypt and is therefore often referred to as the Alexandrian. He published poems, while dozens remained as drafts. He created his most important works after 40 years.
