About the Author

Damien White is a creative young man with many great dreams and aspirations. He was born and raised in Skipwith, Virginia located in Mecklenburg County, VA. He is a graduate of Blue Stone High School, and he also studied Information Systems Technology at Southside Virginia Community College.

Damien's life took a turn of events, when he was arrested for attempted bank robbery. The consequences of his actions resulted with him spending five years and two months in prison. Although he was incarcerated, Damien was determined to be successful. So, he took full advantage of his time in prison and wrote Poems from Prison to Success.

Shortly after his release from prison in 2011 he was able to work as a truck driver for a major trucking company. But on December 5, 2011, he was involved in a major trucking accident in which the doctors said that he had a 10% chance of living. However, God is faithful and brought him out of that accident to where he is today, a former prisoner that is now a published author and miraculous survivor of a nearly fatal accident. Truly a living testimony of one that went from prison to success.White also strongly desires to encourage young men that there are many opportunities to become successful after prison and to always have faith in God.
