About the Author

Jay Neugeboren is the author of eighteen books, including two prize-winning novels, The Stolen Jew (Syracuse University Press) and Before My Life Began (Simon & Schuster); two prize-winning books of nonfiction, Imagining Robert (Rutgers University Press) and Transforming Madness (University of California Press); and four collections of award-winning stories. His recent collection, You Are My Heart (Two Dollar Radio), was published in Spring 2011, and a new novel, The Other Side of the World, will appear in 2012. He was guest editor of Ploughshares issue 6/3, Fall 1980.
