About the Author

Daryl Gregory is the award-winning science fiction author who's been reading comics before he knew how to read words. As well as writing PLANET OF THE APES, he's the co-writer, with Kurt Busiek, of DRACULA: THE COMPANY OF MONSTERS. His first novel, PANDEMONIUM, won the Crawford Award, and was a finalist for the World Fantasy Award. THE DEVIL'S ALPHABET, his second novel, was a Philip K. Dick Award finalist and was named by Publisher's Weekly as one of the best books of the year. His third book, RAISING STONY MAYHALL, is out now. His short fiction has been collected in UNPOSSIBLE AND OTHER STORIES. He lives in State College, PA, where there are many bears, but few apes. Carlos Magno got his first job at BOOM! Studios, drawing a tale written by Mark Waid in ZOMBIE TALES. In 2005, he worked on two comic books from Moonstone Books: THE PHANTOM and SHERLOCK HOLMES. In 2006, he signed with DC comics, contributing art to COUNTDOWN, MANHUNTER, BATMAN, TANGENT: SUPERMAN´S REIGN and CYBORG. Later, at IDW Publishing, he provided art for numerous TRANSFORMERS titles. Magno lives in São José dos Pinhais, Brazil with his wife Ingret and his son Eduardo.
