About the Author

Reann Lydick Poray has worked as a historical and genealogy librarian for 21 years. She holds a bachelor of arts in history from Taylor University and a master's of library science from Indiana University. She has loved local and family history since childhood, when she listened to stories from her grandparents and great-aunts and uncles; it has been said that she was born in the wrong era! Most of the photographs in this book are from the Guilford Township Historical Collection at the Plainfield-Guilford Township Public Library, which has been collecting donated photographs since 1968.
