Overview

CHuvstva k cheshskoy zhurnalistke Milene Esenskoy stali samym yarkim perezhivaniem v zhizni «prazhskogo geniya». Ih roman prodlilsya nedolgo, no perepiska prodolzhalas neskolko let. Imenno Milene pisatel peredal svoi dnevniki i stavshee pozdnee izvestnym «Pismo ottsu», a ih neprostye, emotsionalnye otnosheniya nashli otrazhenie v glavnom proizvedenii Kafki – romane «Zamok». Eti pisma bez otveta otchasti napominayut druzheskuyu perepisku, napolnennuyu trevozhnymi myslyami, strahami, boleznennymi perezhivaniyami i glubokim vzaimoponimaniem. V nih — drugoy Kafka, — romantik, nuzhdayuschiysya v podderzhke. Eti pisma — esche odin shedevr, pozvolyayuschiy luchshe ponyat udivitelnuyu lichnost i talant Kafki.

About the Author

Franz Kafka was born in 1883 in Prague, where he lived most of his life. During his lifetime, he published only a few short stories, including "The Metamorphosis", "The Judgement", and "The Stoker". He died in 1924, before completing any of his full-length novels. At the end of his life, Kafka asked his lifelong friend and literary executor Max Brod to burn all his unpublished work.
