About the Author

John Richardson is the author of a multivolume biography on the life of Picasso. He is a regular contributor to The New York Review of Books, The New Yorker, and Vanity Fair. 

Gertje Utley is an art historian, and the author of Pablo Picasso: The Communist Years, 2000.

Michael Fitzgerald is director of the art history program at Trinity College, Hartford, CT, and has written several books on Picasso, including Picasso and American Art, 2006.
