About the Author

Researching ancient Egyptian tomb painting during frequent visits to Egypt Artist Judi Barrowman became inspired to recreate a series of images, ' within the tomb' from an artist's perspective. Her paintings along with contemporary images have been shown in cultural centers and modern galleries in UK and USA. She has presented various interactive art reach projects including animal symbolism in Egyptian art in schools and libraries and has lectured in museums, universities and art institutes on the subject of ancient Egyptian tomb painting again from an artists's perspective. Barrowman has also worked on a voluntary data- base project at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
