Mr. Myers had been published in fields ranging from physical fitness to crime prevention and his poetry (some of which appears in PEST) won an award.
The story for PEST resulted from several events in the mid 1990s: a warning that people not eat the game fish in Lake Michigan due to the tumors, white pelicans dropping like fodder from the sky over central Florida and the deaths of 90% of the alligators near Lake A popka. At the same time, the U.S. government passed a law that guaranteed more deaths from pesticide poisoning: H.R. 1627.
During the gas shortages of the mid 1970s, Myers received the first Department of the Interior grant to solarize a multi-family residence listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
A graduate of the University of Michigan, he is a successful business owner and recently led the Ride for Freedom, 100 cities in 10 days, from Miami to the Liberty Bell on a 25 yr. old customized Harley-Davidson motorcycle called The New Bill of Rights.com. He is leading the campaign to create a constitutional guarantee for control over one’s own body.
Mr. Myers is a native of Michigan but now lives in Boynton Beach, FL.
