Personal Best: Fishing And Life
He loves his wife and daughter. He tolerates his day job. He lives to fish.

William Buckner has been competing in local bass fishing tournaments for years with very limited positive results (like so many anglers). He struggles with the fact that a handful of his fellow competitors always seem to finish near the top. Is it luck? Do they get secret, insider information? Are they using better equipment than he can afford?

Follow along behind the scenes of tournament bass fishing as the voice in this angler's head wrestles with highs and lows, unexpected dangers, true friendship, lies and scandals in pursuit of his personal best.

Personal Best: Fishing and Life is not a "how-to" manual, but instead an entertaining, fictional story, loaded with very real information that just might make you think about your approach to fishing and/or life.

About the Author

Author, Kurt Mazurek learned from an early age how to fish for all species, but is admittedly "a freak" for largemouth and smallmouth bass, fishing several tournaments every year. His tournament experience has shaped the approach and strategies he applies to all of his fishing. In fact, these strategies are the foundation and inspiration for his writing.

Kurt has always loved to be outdoors. Having grown up in the suburbs of Chicago, he truly appreciates the fishing and outdoor opportunities his current residence in the northwoods of Wisconsin offers him. When not on the front deck of his bass boat, Kurt enjoys playing guitar and writing music, blogging and creating videos for fishingforward.com, studying Texas Hold 'em strategies and relaxing pizza/movie nights on the sofa with his wife and daughter.

In his professional career, Kurt has studied all aspects of graphic design, copywriting, advertising and marketing. Combining his work experience with his passion for fishing makes the realization of this novel a dream come true.
