It describes the mechanism behind the various modalities and the clinical results for each of them. It also is a guide to implementing and administering image-guided ablation services. The percutaneous ablating of tumors is a field capable of great expansion in the future.
Audience: Fellows or practicing physicians in the fields of interventional radiology, oncology, or surgical oncology are the intended audience, but any residents or motivated students who wish to learn more about percutaneous tumor ablation techniques would find this book useful.
Features: The book covers the mechanism behind radiofrequency ablation (RFA), cryoablation, microwave ablation, and irreversible electroporation ablation.
