Size
9¼ inches W x 5½ inches H x 4½ inches D (23.5cm x 14cm x 11.4cm)
Materials
• 2 sheets ultrastiff 7-count plastic canvas
• 2 (3-inch) plastic canvas radial circles
• Needloft® craft yarn as listed in color key
• 2½ (9 x 12-inch/22.9 x 30.5cm) 2mm-thick sheets brown craft foam
• Hot-glue gun
Cutting & Stitching
1. Cut plastic canvas according to graphs, cutting out three holes in runner braces and cutting away five outermost rows of holes from 3-inch plastic canvas radial circles, leaving the four innermost circles intact.
2. Cut brown craft foam slightly smaller than box pieces and sleigh sides.
3. Stitch and Overcast sleigh sides, reversing one side before stitching. Work Backstitches and French Knots on sleigh sides with 1 ply yarn, working embroidery in reverse on reversed side.
4. Stitch and Overcast runner braces, reversing one brace before stitching, then working white stitches in reverse.
5. Stitch and Overcast candy cane runners, reversing one runner before stitching, then working stitches in reverse.
6. Stitch and Overcast five small spearmint leaves with holly as graphed and five with Christmas green. Stitch and Overcast one large spearmint leaf Christmas green as graphed and one with holly. Work Backstitches with 2 plies yarn when stitching and Overcasting are completed.
7. Stitch and Overcast peppermints and hearts.
8. Stitch boxes pieces following graphs. Do not Overcast edges.
Assembly
1. With wrong sides facing, Whipstitch box sides to box front and back, then Whipstitch box bottom to front, back and sides. Overcast top edges.
2. Glue craft foam pieces inside box and to backs of sleigh sides.
3. Using photo as a guide through step 4, glue sleigh sides to box sides. Glue runner braces to sleigh sides.
4. Glue hearts, spearmint leaves and peppermints to sleigh sides and to tops of runner braces. Glue candy cane runners to bottoms of runner braces.
