Overview

Some superheroes have immense physical strength, skin like steel or amazing technology to help them out. Some superheroes are at peak condition, inspiring onlookers as they defy the laws of gravity and health. Some save the world in bone-crushingly stupendous style.

These guys are none of that.

In "Peculiar People", Daniel Smithson (don't call him Danny) and his friends are unwittingly selected for an experiment that stretches a person's abilities beyond normal boundaries - but only based on their own characteristics.

So the world's first superheroes include a stunning blonde academic who renders men Neanderthalic in their stupidity with a flick of her hair, a reclusive gamer with the eyes and claws of a mole, and an Elder's Quorum President who can take the fun out of anything - even a robbery.

Peculiar People is a novella (short length novel) with laugh-out-loud situations and dialogue, with off-the-wall characters in increasingly bizarre situations.

The book is written according to British English grammar and spelling, but uses mainly American vocabulary, since it follows an English protagonist in a U.S. setting.
