About the Author

JULIE NIXON EISENHOWER, Pat and Richard Nixon's younger daughter, is an author, editor and public speaker. She has lectured widely on the Presidency, leadership, women in politics and life in the White House. As Assistant Managing Editor of The Saturday Evening Post she helped establish a book division for the parent company and edited a series of anthologies. She is the author of four books, including the best-selling Pat Nixon:the Untold Story, Special People, Julie Eisenhower's Cookbook for Children and the recently published Going Home to Glory: a Memoir of Life with Dwight D. Eisenhower 1961-1968, written with her husband, David Eisenhower, grandson of Ike and Mamie.

Julie has a special interest in at-risk youth and for twenty plus years has served on the Board of Directors of Jobs for America's Graduates (including as chair and vice chair), a national organization that helps at-risk young people graduate from high school and transition into a first job. She has also served on many other not-for-profit boards and was named a Distinguished Daughter of Pennsylvania for her community service.
