About the Author

Inspired by her mother who loved reading the bible Grace grew up captivated by the stories and as they relate to ordinary people. Her writing was further encouraged by her fifth grade teacher who quickly picked up on her passion. She married in 1982. A devoted military spouse she traveled several countries serving with her husband a military officer. While in Berlin she wrote plays with narration from the Armed Forces Network. The Berlin Commander, Brigadier General Jack D. Woodall, recognized her for her work 27 April 1987. She collaborated with the Berlin community creating historical, theatrical shows using fashions crated from Frankfurt and Schweinfurt, Germany earning her the civilian medal in 1990. As Senior Administrator of the US Army Medical Simulation Center, Grace was a feature writer, Medical Advance Burn Life Saving Paraglide story (2006). Feature writer with Lucille Newman, Train to Save Lives on the Battle Field Paraglide story (2008). She attended KEE Business College for two years and is a proud graduate of 1990. She transferred to Ashford University where she studied Paralegal Science and Business Administration. Grace enjoys volunteering, visiting the VA nursing home on weekends with her family. She resides in NC with her husband, grandson, daughter, and son-in-law. Her son lives in Washington, DC.

CHAPTER 1

MS. CARLOTTA'S DAYCARE

Papa and I start the day off out to to Ms. Carlotta's Day Care ...

There we sing, color, read, nap, and play ...

What a day!

I have four friends that I like very much.

Ms. Carlotta teaches us many things.

Like how to treat others, sharing our toys and when to ...

Today we will play dress up. What will I be?

This white coat looks pretty nifty on me.

Frankie will be a fireman. He wants to help people too.

DeAngelo wants to be a Policeman. The man in blue.

Ashton is too little, he cries most of the day. So we talk with him and tickle him then he giggles, and he plays.

Sara wants to be a teacher just like Ms. Carlotta-so she walks around talking.

Walking and talking ... Talking and walking ...

Blah, Blah, Blah, away Just like Ms. Carlotta she talks all day. Yikes! Here comes Sara. Go away we say! Ms. Carlotta says, we must play. We must be nice to one another, loving and kind to each other.
