About the Author

Panic in Paoli is the third in a series of mysteries set in small towns in Wisconsin where the author lives with her husband of 56 years. Margaret Salisbury set out to write a mystery books after CoVid hit and after writing seven family history books printed just for her family. Margaret has been writing in numerous ways for a long time. She still has a collection of her early writings from her high school years where she was in the journalism club, and in her high school and TCU honors English classes. Writing took a back seat when she decided to become a nurse and joined the US Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. During her three years of service she taught corpsmen who were going to Vietnam and wrote primarily classroom presentations. She gained her education to become a certified teacher graduating from UNT with her ATTD.
Since that time she has written a variety of genres—classroom lesson plans both for University of North Texas as well as for the State of Texas. Health Sciences classes were her main focus. Being the wife of a minister she has enjoyed a variety of jobs—Lamaze Teacher, teaching for Houston Organization for Psychoprophylaxis in Labor and Delivery, teaching Lamaze in Denison, Texas, working as a nurse for Mental Health Mental Retardation for five years, school nurse and teaching Health Occupations for Abilene ISD. Along with all that, she had a highly active role with her husband’s ministry and rearing two wonderful sons. Retirement happened just shortly before moving from Texas to Wisconsin. She now lives in a vibrant senior living facility in Madison, WI and is enjoying getting back to writing mysteries.
