About the Author

E. Michal Gayer writes from a unique background of deep involvement in church ministry work after departing from a successful career as a Christian psychologist. Her education and training afford the exceptional combination of her having a well-developed understanding of human personality, character and relationships as well as a deep and rich grasp of Christian ministry work. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Juniata College, a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology from Wayne State University, and has pursued studies through Life Bible College and the Shenandoah Bible Institute. Professional licenses, which she has received during her lifetime, include Staff and District Ministerial Licenses from the Southeast District of the Church of the Foursquare Gospel, International Ministerial License with the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel, Psychologist License (PA) and Psychological Diagnostician License (MI). Michal is ordained as a minister of the Gospel and authorized to administer the ordinances of the Church by the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel.
Her ministry work includes teaching and preaching as well as developing and administrating specialized Christian ministry and educational programs. These programs have focused mainly on the needs of individuals who are in need of healing. Michal is the Founding Director of the Healing Rooms of Augusta County, VA. She and her husband Robert are the Founding Directors of Lightshine Ministries International. They have ministered together in hundreds of churches across the United States of America preaching the healing Gospel of Jesus Christ and assisting churches in developing outreach programs for the sick. Other experiences she has had include having worked as a School Psychologist, Clinical Staff Psychologist, Business Consultant, and College Instructor at Henry Ford Community College, The Pennsylvania State University Pittsburgh Extension, Blue Ridge Community College and Mary Baldwin College Adult Community Learning Center.
