About the Author

Winfield Ward Murray is a practicing attorney in Atlanta. He earned his BA in English Literature from Morehouse College, his JD from Howard University School of Law and his Masters of Law from The George Washington University School of Law. For the last decade Mr. Murray has been focused on education. He is currently a professor at Morehouse College where he teaches Constitutional Law, Moot Court, and Race & Law. As an educator, his goal is to increase diversity in the legal profession. During the 2015-2016 academic year, Mr. Murray led the Morehouse Moot Court Team to become the American Collegiate Moot Court Association's national championship team.

The victory was historic on multiple levels as this was the first time that this honor had ever been achieved by a historically black college or university at the undergraduate level. The team was also the first African-American team to win the national championship. The Morehouse Moot Court team retains the distinct honor of being one of the top teams in the country.
