Overview

Includes both "Out of the Blue Nights of Death and Desire" and "Out of the Blue Whispers in the Dark" (Parts 1 and 2 from the "Out of the Blue" series.)

When Candice, a teenage girl, dies on her way home from the prom, she starts to go up to heaven. On the way, she runs into the soul of a handsome man. Her hopes of finding a lasting love with this man are interrupted as his soul is placed into the body of a newborn baby.

Through out-of-body experiences, she is able to be with the man of her dreams at night as his body sleeps. But as the boy grows up, will she be satisfied with just his soul as his body starts to become interested in other women?

In the second part, "Out of the Blue Whispers in the Dark", Jack must come to grips with his relationship with the mysterious woman of his dreams, Candice, as he begins to have feelings for his best friend, Maggie.

About the Author

Jack Gunthridge has a high functioning form of autism known as Asperger's Syndrome, which will become part of the general autism spectrum disorders in 2013. He doesn't consider himself disabled. He admits to having difficulties in some situations and will tell you that his books are sometimes misunderstood because they deviate from the norm. On the other hand, his books also get praised for being different. He has received fan mail thanking him for putting into words what others have felt and couldn't find the words to express.

He's a very normal person. He's not married and doesn't have any kids, which bothers the majority of his female friends and family. Having Asperger's gives him certain personality traits that he would share with literary characters like Mr. Darcy (created by Jane Austen, another person believed to have had Asperger's). Jack will get married when he finds the right woman. He doesn't see the need to get married to fit some societal norm. He thinks it is better to be single than to be in a mediocre relationship. He doesn't want to bring children into this world until he can look them in the eye and tell them they were created out of an act of love with their mother.

Jack works a 40 hour a week job that barely pays the bills. In his free time, he watches movies, plays video games, and hangs out with his friends and family.

The sale of his books goes to support him. He hopes to one day buy a house or to pay off his student loans.
