OUT FOR BUCKNER is a period piece that takes place in 2004 before The Sox finally won The World Series again.
The story follows Tony Tapler, a Boston radio personality that decides he is going to get rid of "The Curse of The Bambino" by himself.
He is sick of losing and he is going to travel to Boise, Idaho, find Bill Buckner, and convince him to come back to Beantown to star in a community theater version of NO, NO NANETTE.
This is the redemptive story of how Bill Buckner rises, phoenix-like, from the ash heap of a doomed baseball miscue to emerge as a resilient ex-athlete, a gamely father-figure, a composed friend, and a plucky theatre performer.
Who needs the Hall of Fame when you've got the chance to lead the Red Sox to their first World Series in 86 years?
