About the Author

JOE PERRONE JR was a sportswriter for the Passaic-Clifton, NJ, Herald News, as well as a free-lance advertising copywriter. He has been a professional fly fishing guide and instructor on the Beaverkill River in the Catskill Mountains of New York State. Presently, he lives in the mountains of Western North Carolina with his wife, Becky, and the couple's two cats, Cassie and Callie. Opening Day is the second in the Matt Davis Mystery Series, and was preceded by As The Twig Is Bent. A third Matt Davis Mystery, Twice Bitten, was published in 2012, and is available in both paperback and Kindle editions. Joe is also the author of Escaping Innocence (A Story of Awakening), a side-splitting look at coming-of-age in the turbulent '60s, and A "Real" Man's Guide To Divorce (First, you bend over and...). Both are available in paperback and Kindle versions.
