Overview

The humorous side of a memoir written by a “normal non-famous guy” for his first grandchild just in case he unexpectedly got hit by a bus an was not around to tell the stories himself. These humorous, yet thoughtful, essays shed light on the rich life average folks experience if they but look around and pay attention. The stories told here touch on family, friends and those we trip over everyday. They will make you laugh. They will make you search your own memories for those similar moments and remind you that fame, wealth and material success have nothing to do with being blessed and rich with life and love.

About the Author

Glenn McLaughlin has worked in the chemical and plastics industry for twenty-five years. He has survived stints in a family business as well as two bio-tech start ups and currently passes time by substitute teaching, tutoring and taking care of his grand-daughter two days a week. He is a former national class runner who only takes one step at a time now and berates teenagers under his breath as they bound by him in stairwells at school. He studied chemistry in college as well as strict avoidance of any class that required writing beyond the technical though that behavior is now known to be the result of an over zealous high school guidance counselor. His desire and fervent need to write emerged late in life and has proven to be key in maintaining his last remnants of sanity as has all of a sudden realized he is old.
