I LOVED the whole feel of this one. It's set in a small town in Texas, Prosper to be precise. It just feels like a small town intimate and everyone knowing everything about everybody else. The author did such a great job on the setting.

In all seriousness, this book sucked me in. Completely! The storyline was very intriguing and one that I feel hasn't been overdone. There were definitely plenty of emotions and themes throughout the book. Macie and Holt both have their struggles and regrets, but coming to know each other opens their hearts to hope and healing. I loved the ranch setting and the cozy atmosphere. It was impressive how Macie always treated her mother-in-law with respect, even though it must have been hard with some of the words and attitudes that were well-meaning but hurtful all the same.
