About the Author

About the author:
My name is Eric Williams and I became a certified Diversity Facilitator in 1994 with Wichita Public Schools. At this writing, I am a member of two ministry organizations, The Greater Wichita Ministerial League and The Progressive Alliance of Churches Together (P.A.C.T.).

I received my associates degree from Butler County Community College. I earned Bachelor’s Degrees in Christian Ministry as well as Management Organization and Development from Tabor College. I earned a double major Masters from Webster University in Human Resource Management and Human Resource Development at the McConnell Air Force Base Campus in Wichita, Kansas. I taught Business and Student Success at Heritage College.

I was first licensed in the gospel ministry in 1977. I am the Pastor of Brotherhood Presbyterian Church in Wichita, Kansas. I have been at Brotherhood for ten years. Before accepting my call to pastor, I served as Assistant to the Pastor for ten years at Strangers Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Wichita, Kansas, under Senior Pastor, Earl L. Burkhalter.

I thoroughly enjoy working with people. This book is a reflection of my life and experiences and some personal tips on how I coped with the obstacles I have had to face.
