Welcome to "One Man's Promise". This book is dedicated to all of those everyday heroes who have walked the walk, talked the talk and kept the promises men and women of all ages were meant to walk out in everyday life.

This book is dedicated to all of the positive male and female role models God saw fit to put into my path from all walks of life. You will read about many of them throughout the pages of this book.

This is indeed "One Man's Promise – One Man's Life"

After many years of sharing these individual stories, on a one on one individual basis, it has become all too apparent that God intended for his handiwork in my life to be published.

It is my highest hope you get the deeper meaning of the true stories in chapter form and are truly inspired to AIM HIGH and FULFILL GOD"S PROMISES.

About the Author

ark was born in 1955 to the proud parents Jack Raymond Downing and Shirley Mae Rempfer. They were married January 28, 1953 in Stanislaus Co., CA. Dad was 19 and mom was 17 when they wed. He attended Thomas Downey High School and graduated in 1973 as just an average student. He then learned as life progressed that he was anything BUT average.

He went on to join the United States Air Force at the age of 19, having an idea that he needed to make a clear career path to extend his range of experiences. He is an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Air Force. He was awarded Squadron Airman of the Month for Reese Air Force base in November 1975. His rank at the time of discharge was Airman First Class.

Mark then went on to MJC once he determined the career path he wanted to take. With determination and sheer grit, he felt a need for more of God's leadership and determined to find a good home church. Mark went on to become a journeyman electrician for Walther Electric and soon found he had a nack for doing things right the first time. Kirke's Electric and other contractors as well as inspectors soon recognized his workmanship and said it was his signature on every job he took on.

Mark looks at life at lot different, knowing life has a true purpose and his goal is always to find it. He enjoys camping, fishing, graphic arts, blogging and most of all helping others to find their true purpose.
