About the Author

CHEN, Li-dan, Sichuan University Chair Professor Honorary First-Grade Professor (equal to academician) , one of seven members of the Sixth Journalism and Communication Discipline Assessment Groups of State Council Academic Degrees Committee (the highest expert group of discipline of journalism and communication in China). His research fields include journalism and communication theory, history of journalism and communication, public opinion. He has published 50 monographs and more than 2000 journal articles on journalism and communication.

Wendy Ashleigh Teo graduated from University of London (BA) and Freie Universität Berlin (MA). She is currently lecturing at Soochow University. Her research interests include negotiating a third cultural space for non-native English learners, representations of masculinity in the Chinese society, and reading temporal and cultural losses in translation.

Jingwei Wu is currently Associate Professor at the School of Journalism and Communication. Tsinghua University, China. She earned her Dr. Phil / Ph.D. (2016) in Communication and Media Studies at Freie Universität Berlin and received German Chancellor Fellowship from Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (2009). Her research interests include Medium Theory, Intercultural Communication, Political Communication and Media History.

 

 

Jinying Liao is Professor at the School of Journalism and Communication. Sichuan International Studies University, China. She earned her Doctor of Arts/D.A (2016) in Renmin University of China.Her research interests include Medium Theory, cultural studies and communication theory.She has published a number of papers in Chinese Journal of Journalism & Communication,Modern communication and other journals, and a book named The Essence of FilmsFrom the Perspective of Walter Benjamin's Media Technology.
