About On the Mend

Healthy, supportive relationships are essential to our well-being, but how many times have you heard a friend say, “I don’t know what happened; she just won’t talk to me anymore.” Sadly, they were probably left feeling blindsided by an abrupt, unexplained departure of a loved one.

When left without answers, we generally begin to question our own self-worth and sink into a depressive state that can overwhelm us. How do you cope with your sudden loss and the enormous betrayal you may feel by a loved one...and what do you do with all of your anger as it slowly begins to emerge?!

Donna Meté’s On the Mend gives you the understanding, tools and guidance you'll need in order to overcome your heartache and get back to living a healthy, happy and fuller life. Meté weaves insights and exercises into an unflinching account of her own road to recovery and years of experience, as a means to help you through your loss and get back on your feet, feeling better than ever.

On the Mend is an important new book, because it is the first to address the very specific needs of gay women who have suddenly lost their relationship with little to no explanation. And though geared toward women who have lost their partner, On the Mend can also be used successfully by straight women who are coping with a loss.

About the Author

Donna Meté has spent years studying with some of America’s best self-help gurus and coaches, while undergoing her own transformation and self-actualization. She completed several levels of the Landmark Forum and spent one-and-a-half years engaged in various courses with the Debbie Ford Institute. Donna is a champion for women’s talents and in late 2010, officially launched EntertainHer.com (EH), a social network featuring entertainment created by women including: films, music, books, games, hosted radio shows and WebTV. EntertainHer is currently being sold.

In 2007, she produced a 13-week WebTV, comedy series surrounding human sexuality and one year later, produced two provocative documentaries, entitled Stock Shock! and Radio Wars with Mohr Productions.

Donna Meté is the consummate entrepreneur having founded several successful companies over the past two and a half decades, including one of the fastest growing, privately-held conference and trade show organizations within the U.S.

In her leisure time, she is deeply involved with avian rescue and rehab along with integrity in our media. She is working on another site which will "out" those in media who continually spin world news for their own self-interest, and whose stories serve only to perpetuate meaningless sensationalism in TV.

Donna's family, comprised of 1 extraordinary woman with whom she shares her life, 2 dogs, 3 cats, 52 rescued birds, a turkey and its chick, doe and her fawn, and Chatham's 4oo pound bear are her deepest passions. She enjoys documentaries and considers herself a non-fiction junky. She loves cooking, DIY projects and experimenting with the latest vegan recipe.
