Purpose: The purpose is to provide basic knowledge and skills for medical students, interns, or residents on call in pediatrics. The authors have done an excellent job of providing differential diagnosis as well as treatment options using a stepwise, thought provoking process.
Audience: This book is targeted to medical students, residents, or interns in pediatrics.
Features: This well structured book covers diagnosis and management of on call problems. A unique aspect of the book is the way it addresses how to communicate with patients and families as well.
Assessment: This would be an excellent addition to any library or house fellow's pocket. This edition has added some useful ABCs as well as a chapter on genitourinary problems.
