As to the specifics behind the “Off the Cuff” design, I find cuffs on garments rather interesting as they intentional expose of the wrong side of a work. The seed stitch alters to emulate the structure of a cuff. The coconut shell button lends itself perfectly to the organic cotton yarn, naturally with a touch of preppy.
Inspired to design a beginner pattern, I created a simple pattern that requires only knit, purl, and a button opening. To ensure beginners' success I included written directions as well as charts so knitters could follow the format they found easiest. Furthermore, I sent this pattern off to be tech edited to make certain it would be as universally understood as possible. The pattern includes written directions, a glossary, and two charts.
