Some ideas for teaching young students such as Preschool, Kindergarten, 1st Grade, 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade some of the curriculum in a way to make it easier for them to understand, and to make it more fun. A Sample Schedule, and much, much, more.
Picture your child with the amount of time they spend waiting on the school bus, riding the school bus to and from school, waiting for school to begin after arrival, going from class to class and to their lockers, sitting at a desk waiting at the beginning and end of each class, listening to a teacher speak on something above or below their level, going to the cafeteria and then standing in line waiting, passing out papers, and turning in papers. Now imagine if instead they spent that time learning. Imagine it was spent doing schoolwork that interested them. Even if they only spent half of that time studying and learning how much more could they accomplish?
We all homeschool for our own reasons and sometimes for numerous ones. Sometimes we want to take our knowledge of what the best school can be and offer that to our children.
Public School teachers may have what is taught to the students dictated to them by outside sources. When teachers are dictated what to teach the children, such control may keep them from being able to teach the students properly using the full spectrum of the teachers knowledge and skills. In some countries the teachers are trusted to plan the lessons, to teach the students, and to care about the individual learning needs of each student.
Public School may seem like the learning is focused in part on political agendas. The teachers may have too many legal limitations.
Make certain that the area that you are covering is at the level of the students learning and not your own level of learning. Understand that your learning style may also be different than the students learning style.
Public School may seem like the learning is focused in part on political agendas. The school may be less focused on the individualized style of learning.
This book is full of useful information and resources for Homeschooling teachers.
