Annie Harmon lives in Houston (specifically Atascocita) Texas,USA, but has lived in many of our beautiful states. She has one husband (all she can handle) three children (who are each more beautiful than she could have hoped) and one dog (who is still trying to claim a spot as one of the above mentioned). Annie is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. Her writing credits include a novel, For Sarah; two children's books, The Night Before and The Argument; ghostwriting several chapters of a nonfiction book, The Black Years; publishing a local magazine, Zine, - directed towards the literary encouragement of young people; contributing to the Sun News newspaper with a regularly published humor column on raising children, "Raising New Mexico"; and editorial assistance to the Tucson Parent Magazine.

I am a British ex pat living in France. I work full-time as a language coach. I mainly work with business men and women who find that they need to speak English to their overseas contacts, but also people who just want to improve their linguistic skills. I am married to a French man. I have a daughter who is in Lycée. She is bilingual. My efforts at French and my husband’s at English always move her to laughter. We have no problem understanding each other. Conversations are generally held in French apart from when I speak to our daughter alone. My parents live in France, quite near me. The rest of my family live in various parts of Europe. I write as I speak. I have been told that I tend to ramble on a bit. Some of my friends and family suggested that I publish my ramblings as they found them amusing, informative or interesting. I hope you do too.
My conception on a hot, muggy night in Alabama was predicated on my father’s forgetfulness and his lack of restraint. For that I am eternally grateful. Other than the nine months that followed that night, I accept full responsibility for my actions and output. I am credited as a screenwriter and short story author but, in truth, I am no more than a teller of tales, a weaver of plot threads, and a practitioner of dry humor. My aspirations are to entertain, educate, and never ever become a bore. Mike Duron lives in a dark, dank cave, somewhere in Texas. He survives on a diet of pork rinds, pumpkin seeds, Busch beer, bologna, bread, and the occasional dollar burger from McDonald's. Beyond this, how does one say what this author was, is, and may some day be? Will the great St. Francis de Sales intercede as a patron for this flagitious fiend of fiction? Likely not. Will the sad, raging beast, Grendel, return for his cave some spooky night while the author is tapping away at his keyboard? Perhaps. Still, the author will tap, tap, tap, tap away ... as he tries to ignore the faint conversations of Nona, Decima, and Morta echoing in the darkness above him.
Mona Karel became convinced at an early age that her life would not really begin until she was about thirty five. She has no idea what precipitated that thought, but she claims she was a strange child. Until reaching that age, she led a peripatetic existence for many years, criss-crossing the country, working with horses and dogs—and waiting tables to support her other jobs. At thirty five, when many people are well into raising their families, Karel settled down to “real” work as a buyer and expediter. She married a high school teacher, which led to over twenty years in Southern California. Karel can’t remember a time she wasn’t reading, though she doesn’t remember much fun with Dick and Jane. Her preferred stories involved dogs and horses, and once she had gone through every horse book in the high school library, she started in on Civil War stories. They rode horses, didn’t they? At that time Romance was swashbucklers and Gothic, and many preferred the stronger heroines of Mary Stewart and Victoria Holt. Then Karel discovered Romance in the form of Silhouette, Candlelight, and RWA, and her life was complete. Karel and her husband have since retired to New Mexico, where the live in the wind at 6,500 feet with their Salukis. When not writing or going to dog shows, Karel works at a solar related firm, and enjoys life with the love of her life, her husband Tom.
Introvert, creative, awkward. Neel Kay lives with her husband and two kids in rural surroundings in the south of Denmark, not far from the German border. She’s a trained milliner, studied English at university, and now works a day job as a web editor. But she’s been writing always. Love coffee, scarves and sea views. Oh, and butt-kicking heroines who know how to swing a sword and aren’t afraid to get a little dirty.
Born in Nova Scotia, and having held any number of odd jobs, from Hotline Psychic to Gravedigger, Patrick de Moss has always been writing. Or trying to avoid writing. A playwright, poet, and occasional prose writer, he feels somewhat uncomfortable talking about himself in the third person, and oft times relies on humour to save himself from being embarassed. This is one such time.
