About the Author

As an avid, lifelong reader, my love of sounds and words began at an early age. Even as a young boy, the thoughts and feelings expressed in many Motown hits moved me deeply, informing my heart and mind of a larger, more complex world laying just beyond the walls of my home. Written words were important, too. In my world, music and lyrics co-mingled, coexisted and strongly colored the amazing adventures and striking stories which my superhero DC Comics friends, and I, encountered, week after week.

An aspiring musician during my 20's, I played bass guitar in various bands in the Los Angeles area performing in seminal clubs such as Madam Wongs in Santa Monica and Chinatown, The Troubadour, Club 88, Club Lingerie, and many others. Eventually fronting my own band, I wrote the lyrics on our songs, and I also wrote lyrics on many co-written pieces with other musicians.

Eclectic interests led me to explore a wide range of genres, with a particular emphasis on poetry, fantasy and metaphysics. My first two books are compilations of stories, drawn from a diverse range of sources, in poetry form for children, and their parents.
